Practice Support Analyst—San Francisco Office
Hanson, Bridgett, a major Bay Area law firm, seeks a Practice Support Analyst that will assist case teams in using best of breed Litigation Support technology to efficiently manage electronic data according to established best practices. The ideal candidate should have experience working as a case assistant or paralegal in a litigation environment, such as a law firm or an in-house legal department. Emphasis is placed on strong conceptual skills relating to document intensive discovery, such as document management, case organization, and coordinating projects with outside service providers. Knowledge required in Concordance and related image viewing applications, LiveNote, Adobe Acrobat Professional, FileSite, and SharePoint technologies. Must be able to anticipate and manage deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
The Practice Support Analyst will be responsible for advocating best practices and procedures for document management and case organization. This position requires a strong understanding of how to use technical tools to organize and manage case work, including maintaining extranets for collaboration. This position will work closely with the firm's attorneys, paralegals, and Practice Support Department.

Programmer/Data Analyst—San Francisco Office
Hanson Bridgett LLP, a major Bay Area law firm, seeks a Programmer/Data Analyst that will assist the Business Process Manager in data analysis and integration, report writing and custom development. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a mid- to large-sized law firm environment, experience managing relational databases, programming in a variety of Microsoft-based technologies as well as demonstrate familiarity with leading industry software applications such as Elite Enterprise and Interwoven FileSite. We are constantly modernizing our technology experience for our users in many areas, and this requires an ability to manage priorities and frequently adjust our near term project goals, while communicating the status of these goals in a clear and satisfactory way to our stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in mid- to large-sized law firm
- Familiarity with a variety of legal software applications including Elite and FileSite
- Programming expertise in the following languages and platforms: MS Access /(VBA), SQL Server (TSQL), .NET technologies including web services, handheld application development and web site development using ASP.NET.
- SharePoint experience
- Ability to troubleshoot single- and cross-platform data integration issues at the user, application and database levels

Risk Management Assistant
We are looking for someone who will process forms and run conflicts searches to help identify potential conflicts of interest. This person will also track, scan and file new business forms, engagement letters, waivers, disclosures and firm contracts.
This person will work under the guidance of the Risk New Business Coordinator and Risk Conflicts & Audit Coordinator and report to the Records & Risk Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Process new business documentation
- Process and review initial and full conflict reports with submitting attorneys, identify potential conflicts to aid in resolution, and summarize the conflicts resolution process in writing as needed
- Filing and scanning of new business forms
- Tracking, filing and scanning of engagement, waiver and disclosure letters
- Help in the processing of conflicts questionnaires for new hires
- Provide backup in the processing of responses to audit requests
- Help maintain Risk Management Procedure Manual
- Provide backup as needed for the calendaring department
- Work on special projects under the direction of Records & Risk Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Knowledge of Elite Enterprise or extensive database experience required
- Knowledge of CompuLaw Docketing System preferred
- Knowledge of Access preferred
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook required
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, telephone, written) required
- Excellent analytical and proofreading skills required
- Excellent teamwork skills required
- Excellent organizational skills required
- Ability to perform detailed work accurately, thoroughly and consistently required
- Ability to prioritize tasks in an ever-changing fast-paced environment
- Ability to proactively identify problem areas and communicate them to appropriate individuals
- Holds oneself accountable for performance, takes ownership and champions the quality delivery of service
- BA preferred
