There are two sets of comments I always heard about Hanson Bridgett. First, it employed some of the most knowledgeable and dynamic attorneys in the area. Second, it was a wonderful firm to work for. This summer, I found both characterizations to be right on target. Indeed, I have found that the expertise of attorneys at Hanson Bridgett is only matched by the respect and cordiality that is always present within the firm.

I am interested in pursuing a career in Business Law.

I was born and raised in New Mexico, but I have become quite attached to the Bay Area.

I came to Hanson Bridgett because from the very first day I worked as a case clerk in 1996, I was impressed by the willingness of people to work together as a team and the extraordinary people who make up the firm. I was also excited that even as the firm was growing, it maintained its unique atmosphere and remained a great environment to learn and develop.

I am interested in pursuing litigation, business or public agency law while maintaining my commitment to child advocacy.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I currently live with my sister and I often spend weekends with my parents and other siblings in Marin. I spent my first year of law school in Chicago but returned to California for the great weather, despite the summer fog.

I grew up in San Francisco and enjoy living in one of the most dynamic and beautiful cities in the world. I chose Hanson Bridgett because I was impressed with its great reputation in the legal community and the "glowing reviews" of past summer associates. Everyone at Hanson has made a special effort to connect with the summer associates and make us feel both welcomed and appreciated.

Although I am still unsure which area of the law I want to practice, I do have a tendency to enjoy a little healthy adversity, so I may pursue Litigation. However, I am also interested in some of the other areas Hanson specializes in such as Public Agency, Employment and Labor Law, and the Business practice.

I spend my free time reading, listening to live music and travelling both in and outside of the United States. I also enjoy trying different forms of fitness activities such as kick-boxing and "Capoeria" (Brazilian martial arts).

Throughout the recruiting process, Hanson Bridgett struck me as a truly unique firm. I was pleased to see how highly developed people's lives were outside of the law and how passionate they were about their work. I felt Hanson Bridgett was a place in which I could work hard, but also feel comfortable with my colleagues and myself.

From a career perspective, I was particularly drawn to Hanson Bridgett because it is one of the few firms in the City that offers a diverse public agency practice. I consider working with public agencies as the perfect intersection of my dual interests in law and public policy.

Like many folks at Hanson Bridgett, I too am a musician: I play the bassoon. The most well known excerpt of bassoon music is Paul Dukas' The Sorcerer's Apprentice, a symphonic poem which was put to animation in Disney's classic, Fantasia. In the film, Mickey Mouse dabbles in magic and is left with a bunch of brooms that have minds of their own.

When not at the office or in school, I can be found on the ski slopes or under a tent in the Sierras.

I came to Hanson Bridgett because the attorneys I met here seemed to truly enjoy the work they do and the environment in which they work. I was also very impressed with the firm's commitment to fostering personal relationships with its clients.

I am particularly interested in Hanson's Public Agency Section because I have spent several years working in government and in the public sector.

I enjoy playing soccer, hiking and camping. I grew up in the Bay Area and love the fact that this city is so full of cultural and diverse opportunities.
